So on wednesdays I leave work early because this semester I had a 5pm lab. Accounting for traffic and whatnot I leave at 3 or 3:30, depending on what’s going on in the office.
Today I left at 3, because I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time, since the final was today.
I got about half way there and came up to a flag man with a stop sign. There was road construction ahead and the road was closed on one side. A few seconds later another lady came up behind me (it was not busy this time of day). Seconds later another woman came flying up behind her, and apparently didn’t see both of us stopped AND the flagman with the stop sign, because she throttled into the woman behind me, pushing her into my car.
Both the cars behind me were totaled, but no one was hurt. My car took a huge dent into the back hatch, but she managed to miss any tail lights. I didn’t feel hurt at first (despite my body being immediately whipped back and forth) but as the day turned into evening I’ve gotten more and more tension and pain in my back.
I don’t like to complain, but if it’s worse tomorrow I might go to a chiropractor and report it to my insurance.
A police report was filed, the 3rd woman was obviously to blame for the whole ordeal, as the woman behind me and I were at complete stops.
Really not something I wanted to be dealing with during finals week, but it is what it is. Hopefully I just have cramped muscles from the shock, and no real physical damage.
